MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR GRASSLAND RESEED
GAFSA Biophos
Targeted nutrition for strong grassland establishment

Why Biophos?
PHOSPHATE
Root development & early growth
SULPHUR
Protein synthesis & N utilisation
CALCIUM
Root development & nutrient uptake
GAFSA BioPHOS is an excellent choice for grassland reseeding, supplying three key nutrients required during establishment. Phosphate promotes root development and provides the energy needed for early plant growth, while sulphur supports protein synthesis and efficient nitrogen utilisation. Calcium encourages healthy root development, helping improve nutrient uptake and establish a resilient, productive ley.

What is Biophos?
BioPHOS combines humic and fulvic acids which help activate the release of plant-available phosphate.
Biophos vs TSP
A sustained source of phosphorus
GAFSA BioPHOS contains highly reactive phosphate rock which dissolves gradually in the soil, providing a sustained supply of plant-available phosphorus.
Unlike highly water-soluble phosphate fertilisers, it can continue releasing phosphorus for 3–4 years.
IS BIOPHOS SUITABLE FOR GRASS-CLOVER RESEEDS?
Yes.
GAFSA BioPHOS is particularly well suited to grass–clover reseeds, where clover has a high demand for phosphorus during establishment.
Available phosphate supports root development and helps the formation of effective root nodules and biological nitrogen fixation, supporting the long-term contribution of clover.
The Role of Humic & Fulvic Acids
Nature's partners for healthier soils and better nutrient use.
HUMIC ACIDS
Improve the soil environment

-
Improve soil aggregation
-
Increase cation exchange capacity (CEC)
-
Improve water-holding capacity
-
Improve nutrient retention
-
Stimulate microbial activity
-
Encourage root growth
-
Improve overall soil health
FULVIC ACIDS
Improve nutrient transport via the soil into the plant

-
Very small molecular size
-
Chelate micronutrients
-
Improve nutrient mobility
-
Increase nutrient uptake
-
Enhance foliar nutrition
-
Aid nutrient transport inside the plant
Why Chelation is Important

Chelation keeps nutrients in a form that is less prone to precipitation or strong adsorption in the soil, maintaining their availability for crop uptake.
Important for micronutrients such as zinc, manganese, iron and copper.
